40 Days to Go Campaign Update
We are headed for the "final forty" days of my campaign to be State Representative for Stratford's 120th District, so I thought an update was in order.
It has been a great season, with many accomplishments, adventures, and fun.
So far, I have had the honor of endorsements from the Connecticut Young Democrats, Democracy for America, the AFL-CIO, Love Makes a Family, and NARAL.
Our headquarters, right in the center of Stratford, is buzzing with activity… with volunteers phoning the voters; coffee parties, brunches, and get-togethers being planned; fundraisers taking shape; and our endorsement list growing longer. We can always use more volunteers, so come on over.
Last week I taped a debate with my opponent, which ran 11 times on local television over the weekend. It was an terrific experience. My opponent actually denied his own voting record on campaign finance reform! He also blamed everyone but himself for the issues we’ve been having with education funding and property taxes.
I will have another debate next month when the Stratford Chamber of Commerce and the Rotary Club host their 2006 Legislative Forum.
My only request to you is this point is that you reach out to your friends, family, and co-workers who live or work in Stratford and tell them about my campaign. Tell them how to get to here to my website and have them register their email addresses for quick updates. I’ve made extensive updates to the website recently so I hope you’ll check it out.
Thank you for your support. Thank you for your interest in my campaign. I am ready to go to Hartford and serve our town.
